SSB’s professional babyproofing consultants conduct home safety assessments including a room-by-room safety evaluation, discussion and information about child safety issues, and product recommendations. They provide suggestions, tips, and recommendations, enabling you to decide how best to address your child’s safety needs. This service is designed to help parents, grandparents, and other caregivers babyproof their homes for greater safety and peace of mind.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Conduct home safety assessments in Northern VA, MD, and DC homes having a working knowledge of products and services offered by SSB, including products used for childproofing inside and outside the home.


• Provide the client with valuable safety tips and recommendations which are consistent with current safety regulations.


• Stay up-to-date on new safety products and their applications AND the frequently changing safety recommendations, regulations, and updates.


• Know the pros and cons of each SSB product and the different applications.


• Have a positive attitude and maintain a professional demeanor which reflects an understanding of the SSB customer profile.


• Be capable of thinking "outside off the box" to find solutions to address nearly any safety concern or need of the SSB client applying SSB products and by providing tips.


• Take and pass the IAFCS Home Hazard Test.
